Some facts about FCC
- FCC is the only federal state body that deals with issues associated with suitability and certification in Russia’s construction sector.
- It is the only organisation that can perform the necessary testing required for the Technical Document required for non-standardised products.
- It can certify production in GOST R or Rosstroysertifikaciya systems
- FCC is an accreditation body in “Rosstroysertifikaciya” system. It issues an accreditation to certification organisations and test laboratories to undertake certification work in this system.
- It is an expert organisation in the GOST R system. FCC issues patents to certification bodies and test laboratories which can then be accredited by “Rostehregulirovanie” to undertake certification work in GOST R.
- Accredited certification bodies are independent and can issue certificates with their own stamp with no need for accreditation body’s approval. The prices for the certificates are not fixed and are set at each company’s discretion.
